AMEROUS Hand-Carved Wooden Chess Pieces, 4.12" King, 2 Bags

On the table

Bigger pieces change how a game feels. Reaching for a king that stands 4.12 inches tall, beside a queen at 3.93 inches, gives every move a little more ceremony. We carve this set from wood by hand and size it above ordinary chessmen for players who already own a board they love.

Detail matters at this scale, so we take our time over each piece: the shaping, the finish, the way it sits in the hand. The undersides are worked smooth so nothing drags across or scratches your board. The look is elegant and understated, which lets the set pair naturally with the board you already have.

No board is included — these are pieces only. They come carefully packaged with two drawstring bags for storage and transport, and they look just as good displayed on a shelf as they do mid-game.
