AMEROUS 15" Wooden Chess Board Only, 1.57" Squares

On the table

Sometimes the pieces are spoken for — inherited, collected, or simply favorites — and all that's missing is the board. This is that board. It measures 15 by 15 inches, 0.6 inches thick, with squares of 1.57 inches. No pieces are included, and the grid works equally well for chess or checkers.

We make it from wood chosen for durability and resistance to moisture, then polish the surface so it shrugs off scratches and stains and feels smooth under a sliding piece. The slim profile keeps it portable: it goes to school, on a trip or out to a picnic without fuss.

Between games it earns its place as decor, sitting comfortably with most home styles. It comes in a gift package with chess rules included, which makes it a thoughtful start for a beginner of any age.
