AMEROUS 15.5" Magnetic Folding Chess Set, Felt-Bottom Pieces

On the table

Natural wood, a fold down the middle and a magnet under every move: that is the whole idea here. Open, the board measures 15.5 inches, with a grain you can see and a surface that is smooth to the touch. The pieces are sized generously so they are easy to grasp, and the magnets keep them from sliding when someone leans on the table.

We line the bottom of each piece with thin felt. It protects the board's surface and takes the clack out of every move, which matters in a quiet room or a late game. When you are done, each piece goes back into its own slot inside the board, so the set stays organized and nothing goes missing.

Two extra queens and a set of instructions come along, so a beginner can start from the first page and a seasoned player can promote without improvising. Folded, it goes to a picnic, a friend's house or anywhere else a game might break out.
