On the table

We cut this set from pine, and the fine grain shows through the 64 squares. Handcrafted chess pieces and 24 checkers share the board, so you get two games in one case. Velvet pads under the pieces keep the surface unscratched and the room quiet, and the wood holds up to water and to plenty of handling.

Open, the board is 15 by 15 by 1 inch. Folded, it is 15 by 7.5 by 2 inches, and metal latch locks hold it shut so the pieces stay inside and in order. That makes it easy to move between the living room, the office and a weekend away without counting pawns afterward.

We include detailed chess rules for anyone starting out and two extra queens for pawn promotion. It comes packed in a gift box, ready for a birthday, an anniversary or a holiday table with family and friends.

What players say

Folding Wooden Chess & Checker Set.
A nice wooden chess and checker set. All the pieces store securely inside in padded slots and nothing rattles around. The board and all the pieces are well done and a good value. The only thing I would add to it is a carrying handle.

Must have chess/checkers set!
Im recommending this set 150%. Beatiful wood and quality is amazing. The only thing is when you get "Kinged" the pieces don't lock together, not that big of a deal just an fyi
