AMEROUS 16" Chess Set with 2 Drawers, Metal & Wood Pieces

On the table

This is the largest and most dressed-up board in our drawer line. The surface is treated with a piano lacquer process, so it shines the way a piano lid does. At 16 by 16 by 2.5 inches it has real presence on a table, and it looks at home in the living room between games.

The pieces are our own design: a metal head and a metal base with a solid wood body in between. They are easy to grip, proportioned to one another from queen to pawn, and lined underneath with thin felt so they land quietly and never scratch the lacquer. Two extra queens sit with the rest.

Two built-in drawers hold everything in individual slots, neatly arranged and hard to lose. We send it in gift packaging for birthdays, anniversaries and holidays. Set it out, take your seat, and it is your move.
