AMEROUS 17" Roll-Up Travel Chess Set in Carry Tube

On the table

Not every game happens at home. For the ones in the park or at a friend's place, we made a chess set that rolls up. The board is PU leather, a full 17 by 17 inches when laid flat, and it slides into a carry tube together with all the pieces. A shoulder strap does the rest.

The pieces are plastic, which keeps the whole kit light, and their bases are finished smooth so they move quietly without marking the board. Because everything packs into the tube, there is no need to keep a board set up permanently. Stand the tube on a shelf or lay it in a drawer between games.

It is a compact, practical, good-value set that works well for beginners and for younger children in a classroom. Unroll the board on any card table, line up both sides of pieces, and it's your move.
